Did you know that the most sold book in the world is the Holy Bible, but in the same time, is the book that is most unread? This gives light to the difference between intention and action. In our intentions, we buy exercise equipment, but find it later in a closet covered with dust or clothing. This is the same with our intentions to eat better as we buy up vegetables and other items of health, only to throw them out in the trash later due that they have become shriveled and covered with mold due our lack of action in eating them when we should have. Though many have the intention of eating right and exercising, the lack of action has consequences towards ones health. This is the same for your spirit. If it is not fed inwardly, there will be consequences that may be quite detrimental towards your whole being. Your spirit requires active participation with God, and in so, it needs His Word to fill its particles to enrich it with life, as fruits and vegetables do in relation with the flesh. A dusty Bible is as good as a bag of nutrient-free candy that tastes good on the tongue, but is poison in its over-indulgence. A relationship takes active participation. Intentions never bring results in a relationship, only empty promises. This is likened to a parent who promises their child that they will be at their school function, but their actions of actually going is what builds their relationship. Many times we see those who make promises through intentions but fail to follow through with action. How many spouses are guilty of saying an empty, I love you, and fail to show this through their actions? The failure of action brings forth complacency, and complacency brings forth strife, division, and ultimately, death. When dust covers something, be sure that the light of life is slowly dimming the very thing it is covering. What then is the solution to the dust covered, intentional lifestyle? It is action! When we pick up our Bibles and study them, the dust has no where to stand. When we actively participate in the lives of our children, the dust of this world has cannot substitute for your presence. When we truly become help-mates to our spouses and meet their needs, the dust of this world cannot blanket our relationships with its deadened scenarios. When we rip off the blanket of this worlds covering of self indulging sins through the power of the Lord, exposing its decay of darkness, He will heal us and His light will purify our whole beings. Refuse to give in and to give up. Through Him, you can be more than a conqueror. But through this, you must take action! Like the words of the movie Rocky, go the distance!
