Difference between diet ->which has a short-term emphasis and diet-strategy which includes a long-term consideration. Case in point: Tom Hanks recently revealed he has Type 2 diabetes and a contributing cause of this he states was his Yo-Yo dieting for various movie roles - gaining 30 lbs for one movie and losing 55lbs for his role in Castaway - This latter scenario being the worst contributor. This is metabolic damage folks. Hanks revealed he has high blood sugar since his 30s - and the Yo-Yo dieting has now led to Type 2 diabetes. Had he done things differently the results may have been an ability to avoid this condition as well. I called this with Jessica Simpson and this Tom Hanks condition is another repercussion of long-term consequences of diets over diet strategy. Its all in my book Metabolic Damage and the Dangers of Dieting. Heres a link bit.ly/ungEGR
