Dig deep Haslemere and friends of Hemingways! Im going back out to the orphanage in Burkina Faso on the 28th of this month and will spending 3 to 4 weeks there. I have a very long shopping list of stuff we need to buy for the kids at Desert Fleuri, so Im hoping we can build up the fund between now and then. The more we raise before I go, the more I can buy when Im out there. (Shipping items out there is just too expensive and difficult) The shopping list includes sacks of rice, maize, haricots beans and cous cous, baby milk, nappies, medical supplies, more mattresses (eventually beds would be nice!), bed linen, mosquito nets, classroom stationery, clothes, shoes, soap, paint to brighten up the place and many many other essentials that we take for granted. You can donate via the Barka system at Hemingways (which is a gift of £3.50 that people add to their order) or by putting money in to the Desert Fleuri donation box. Alternatively we also have a beautiful range of necklaces and bracelets of which ALL the proceeds go to the charity. Every penny we raise will be taken out there and spent directly on the children and the orphanage and is a great opportunity for you to know that 100% of your donation is going direct to the project.
