Discussion : Do you think there is any relevance between transiting planets and the planet positions on the natal chart, or do you think that the natal chart should be used by itself to explain the individual and the outcomes of the individual? Many astrologers use transits to perform daily horoscopes and mundane astrology readings (general weather forecast of the aspects), however many astrologers dispute the validity of transits and their influence. I personally, am split on the subject. I acknowledge that the Saturn Return, being a transit, is a very important time indeed and that the Uranus opposition, which leads to the mid-life crisis, is also significant and of course, Pluto has a massive influence throughout life with transformation and death. Mercury Retrograde is of course a very tricky time, difficulties with communication and processing information occurs, but other than these aspects that are transiting effects, I can also say that these outcomes can be determined by looking at the natal chart itself and know that the influence comes from belief in the first place and if an individual isnt a student of astrology, they will probably feel no influence whatsoever from other short term, or long term transits. The progression of a chart is left entirely to the individual, there are channels that can be opened, or they can remain shut, transits or not, there is still enough information in the chart to determine these outcomes. I also think that people new to astrology should avoid transits and the study of them, they should learn to read the chart by itself before exploring this side of astrology, mostly due to the fact that there is no real evidence that transits actually have any influence. What do you think? #debate #discussion #astrology #TED #experiment #astropsychology #youtube #facebook #google #twitter #occult #transits #space #spirituality #religion #astrolabe
