Discussion yesterday on the Bike Forums Advocacy & Safety forum, in a topic about aggressive drivers, the discussion turned to lane position, lane control, and control & release techniques. One member asserted that its improper to try to control the actions of others. So then I posted the following image from i am traffic asking So you think this technique is not proper?, and the response from the other user was this: As a trained professional driver who receives safety training on a regular basis, I know that intentionally attempting to interfere with, or control the actions of other road users has no legal premise, and doing so makes one liable for any mishaps. This fact is universally recognized by all commercial and municipal transportation organizations, and the opinions of an advocacy group doesnt change that. Thoughts?
