Dithapelo Keorapetse seeks to replace Gilson Saleshando Botswana Congress Party (BCP) Youth League president, Dithapelo Keorapetse has won the ticket to represent his party in the Selibe Phikwe West parliamentary elections next year. Keorapetse was voted by 598 BCP members against Nzwaligwa Nzwaligwa’s 262, Seji Wale’s 385, and Obakeng Kantlhaka 116 votes. Keorapetse now has to work hard to keep the constituency under BCP control. Incumbent Member of Parliament, Gilson Saleshando, also former president of the party is retiring because of old age. If all factors remain constant, Keorapetse will face Botswana Democratic Party’s (BDP) Opelo Makhandlela and the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC)’s Moeti Mohwasa. Mohwasa has tried his luck in the constituency before and will fancy his chance against new comers. #Weekend Post
