Divine Appointment 2: With my car being in the repair shop I had to take the bus from Striki back to Saldus. When I got to Saldus I decided Id stop at a store to get a drink. When walking out of the store I passed by this man who said Excuse me. It was in English. He asked if I spoke English and I said yes. As I approached him he asked Are you David?? David Carrillo?? I must of had a very puzzled look on my face because I have never seen this person in my life. Yes I am David Michael Carrillo I said. Oh good so it is you, we talked by phone once. Found out that Fred was in town to visit his wife family and when he saw me thought to himself, He must be David, he looks just like his picture. Anyway we ended up getting coffee and enjoying sweet fellowship as we shared what life is like being in Latvia. He is 58 years old has been in Latvia since 1998 or so. Met his wife and has been married for 14 years. He got married when he was 44. I laughed and shared how in April of 2010 at age 44 the Lord told me I would have a son. Of course I didnt know back then that Kristaps Mihailisins would become my son. All in all it was a surprise blessing. He comment how my Latvian was good. Another surprise. In fact I just got done with my Latvian lesson. My teacher shared with me Your Latvian understanding is very good and your speaking more and more. Stop thinking your stupid or cant do it. It will one day flow out of you like a rushing river. WOW! Yes the Lord is full of surprises.
