Do memories of your youth include the game Barrel of Monkeys? I recall the first time I was introduced to the game. I was five years old and always looking for opportunities to spend time with my very cool, teenage sister and her friends, and for whatever reason, they found that game entertaining. Years later she said the real entertainment was how much I used to giggle at the monkeys. Whatever the reason, I reaped the rewards of countless hours playing Barrel of Monkeys with them. In 2015, this iconic game will mark 50 years. In recognition of that, the granddaughter of one of the game’s inventors shared a bit of the history behind the game.
