Do not ever believe you’re not beautiful. Beauty is subjective. People are brainwashed by society and they let society dictate to them what is beautiful and what is not. Concern yourself with what Allah thinks: “Verily, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but rather He looks at your hearts and actions.” Sahih Muslim 2564 Surround yourself with positive people who fear Allah and have taqwa, and watch how the beauty from you grows. “Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear…” (Qur’an, 2:286) If you really want to appreciate more, become a volunteer for a charity, look at the causes they work for, subhanAllah it humbles you to see people around the world struggle. Look at how our Brothers and Sisters in Syria, Palestine, etc. are suffering. How can we complain about our situation, where we take clean water for granted? where we take the ability to pray Salah for granted, the ability to say.. “I AM A MUSLIM” for granted. There are so many people worse off than us, not just in these oppressed countries, but even right under our noses. We should be grateful that Allah ﷻ has made us among those who don’t have to worry whether we have a plate on our table to eat from. We should be grateful to Allah ﷻ that he has given us the opportunity to us to help the oppressed any way we can, and earn Jannah by helping them. So do your best to help the less fortunate around you, and you will see how much you appreciate life more, and appreciate the blessing that Allah ﷻ has bestowed upon you. If anything I have said is wrong, may Allah help me rectify my mistakes.
