Do you Feel close to God all the time? If you are like most Born - TopicsExpress

Do you Feel close to God all the time? If you are like most Born Again Believers, you sometimes feel far away from God, or that He is far away from you? Let us take a look at those feelings. All of us are triune beings with a body, soul, and spirit. Now if you have not been Born Again, spiritually speaking, then you still have a spirit, which is your God connection, but it is dead. This was inherited from the time of Adam and Eve, when their spirits died when they disobeyed God. Your spirit is your God connection. Within your soul, you have a mind, will, and emotions. That’s where those feelings come from. And if you are like most people, sometimes you feel closer to God than other times. But are you? Really? Let us see what the Bible says. John 14:16-20 I (Jesus) will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; 17 that is the (Holy) Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also. 20 In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. Ephesians 1:13-14 In Him (Jesus), you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation -having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of Gods own possession, to the praise of His glory. Galatians 6:15-18 For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. 16 And those who will walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God. 17 From now on let no one cause trouble for me, for I bear on my body the brand-marks of Jesus. 18The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen. As we see when you believe in what Jesus has done for YOU on the cross and in the Resurrection, then you are truly Born Again by Faith alone. You not only have the Holy Spirit indwelling you, but He gives Resurrection to your dead spirit and you become a new creation in Christ. It is a lot like marriage, sometimes you feel closer to your spouse than others times. But that doesn’t mean you are any less married at some times more than others. The same with your relationship with God. At times you might feel closer to Him, like in a moving worship service, or a special prayer time or just spending time with Him in His Word. But feeling closer to God at a particular moment doesn’t mean that you are. It is just a feeling. We know that we cannot have that close feeling about our spouse all the time and we also cannot have that close feeling with God all of the time. Colossians 2:2-3 that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of Gods mystery, that is, Christ Himself, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Paul prayed for the Colossians that they would know the mystery of God, namely, Christ in whom are hidden all the treasure of wisdom and knowledge. He did not pray that they would FEEL like they were close to God or feel the love of God. He prayed that they would know it, by FAITH. Ephesians 3:16-17 that He (God) would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His (Holy) Spirit in the inner man, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, So why do we experience times when we feel far from God? How can we feel far from God if His Holy Spirit lives in us? If you are in Christ and He is in you (John 14:20), why don’t you feel Him at all times? It is a matter of our relational acuity. Our spiritual receptivity and spiritual awareness, and a spiritual acknowledgement of His Ever Abiding presence. God has promised in His Word, that He will never leave or forsake us, in Hebrews 13:5. However we can feel far from Him when we ignore Him, live independently from Him, depend on money instead of Him, grow dissimilar from Him, or rush about expecting Him to tag along rather than move in union with Him. Remember that when your humanness falters between spiritual times of plenty and times of want, communion with God is always just a whisper away as you acknowledge His presence with you and in you, as a Born Again Believer. **** 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, This is the Pure Gospel of Grace that tells you how you can be Saved and Born Again, by Faith alone **** https://youtube/watch?v=HpK6lNfrJDw
