Do you believe? ..or disbelieve?.. I always find it incredulous when I find those who dont believe that there is a God who has an aware and sentient consciousness.. For, it is by their own sense of self awareness, sentience, and consciousness; that gives them the capacity to feel the way they do about God.. So, if they can experience this kind of awareness; what makes them think that there can be no other entity that has the same capacity to reason, think, or feel? This is a common foible hat many humans take on ; all while rebelling against the idea that there can be a creator; and a spiritual leader who is there for them to follow. Sadly, in their rebellion; what they are doing is trying to elevate themselves above God, while using their own awareness to question the awareness of God. So, what they are effectively doing, is using their God given gift of free choice in order to try and nullify the existence of the very power that gave them the ability to do so. This attitude can come from the souls of people who are spoiled by the wonders, pleasures, and beauties of life. And by their spoils, they get to the point of not wanting to have anything to do with a God. It can also come from those who have grown angry and bitter over the sufferings of life; while believing that a sentient entity would not allow those kinds of things to happen. And ,by their anger and bitterness, they get to the point of not wanting to have anything to do with the idea of there being a God. This sadly closes the door upon the very God who gave them life; and who is waiting patiently for his children to recognize, and appreciate his very existence. For, No one will ever venture towards what they dont believe exists. And it will be in this belief, when their journey towards God will be squelched by their own choosing. ….......................................................................................................................... james tannarome © 2014
