Do you know that 52% of the land area of Abim district is in Alerek Sub cty? Most of it is land from Wilela & Koya parishes to Panyangara in Kdo and from Loyoroit parish to Kacheri in Kdo, then towards Karenga & Acholi. Yet we r squeezed in the middle of hills & people r fighting ovr land everyday with pangas?. Even Alerek people are squeezed towards Abim sub cty, around the hills. What shld be done to disperse & resettle our people in these fertile areas (esp towards Acholi) & also 4 Alerek people to accept to share these lands with the rest of the Ethur. Because these artificial boundaries were drawn in colonial times & insecurity pushed our people to stay around the foothills. Hence the plains were abandoned. So what do we do now?
