Do you see that girl? I want you to look at her. Just look at her - TopicsExpress

Do you see that girl? I want you to look at her. Just look at her and do not judge… Not just yet. You don’t know anything about her, nothing at all. Let me tell you a few things about her. She is the girl who never fails to flash you her big, bright smile. She’s that girl wearing those “awkward clothes”. She is that carefree girl you see walking alone along the school’s corridor or along your neighborhood. No, she’s not the most brilliant girl there is, but she’s warm, loving, and extremely nice. She is also the girl who has a few best friends… and she seem to not need any more. She is the girl who laughs the hardest at her own jokes and the same girl who will hang up on you, but will immediately call back to apologize. She is the girl who will swim oceans just to be with you when you need a friend, the girl who will go out of her way just to cheer you up. She’s the girl who will never give up on you even after you have given up on yourself. She’s the girl who believed in loving someone forever. She is the same girl who doesn’t show people how she feels. She bottles everything up until she finally snaps. You still don’t recognize her, do you? Don’t worry, just keep looking at her. By the way she looks, you’ll never be able to tell that she is frustrated, insecure, sad, torn, and broken. She just carries herself well and she definitely knows how to hide her pain well. She is that girl who hesitates to seek for attention and ask for help. She is that girl who will tell you everything is well when the truth is, nothing is going right. She will listen and help you out with your problems even when she has lots of her own. She refuses to show everybody who she truly is. But she is also the same girl who stopped believing. She stopped believing in promises because they were never kept. She stopped believing in what she hears because she has never really seen it. She stopped believing in the magic of forever because apparently, everything ends. She stopped believing that there is a little truth in every lie because she realized that a lie will always be a lie. She just stopped believing. Look at her now. She seems so lost in space. You’ll often see her like that. She always disappears, forever fading away and blending into the background, eternally unnoticed. She feels herself becoming invisible each passing day. So you finally recognize her now? Just continue looking at her and appreciate her. She is probably the strongest and most beautiful girl I have ever known. …She is you. She is me. She is us. And she hasn’t completely given up yet. Now that you know who she is, will you do me a favor? Tell her this: “All will be well. If not now, eventually.”
