Do you want to get involved in the RAG committee next year? We will be posting a description for each role until our information meeting on friday in room 2 at 5pm... President - Oversees the running of the society - Supports the committee and is responsible for its ethos and long-term development. - Oversees the running of the society and is responsible for its ethos and branding. - Chairs committee meetings and works alongside the Coordinator to make major strategic decisions and to support the committee, leaders and members with day-to-day running where necessary or appropriate. He or she is the overall spokesperson for the society, is responsible for its actions and must maintain a long-term vision for the development of Leeds RAG in future years. The Secretary - Keeps meeting minutes - Writes the weekly newsletter and is the main point of contact for the Leeds RAG Alumni committee and external charities. - Oversees the marketing, publicity and recruitment of Leeds RAG. - Responsible for the major communication between the committee and members. - He or she should write and release the weekly membership newsletter and should take minutes in and maintain a record of all meetings. - Act as the primary liaison with both the Leeds RAG Alumni committee and external charities, including maintaining and updating the charity database. The Secretary should work with the President and committee to oversee the marketing, publicity and recruitment of Leeds RAG, including press releases and maintaining relationships with student media societies to promote RAG.
