Imagine, winding your way through a beach side forest. In the distance, the towering wooden gate will loom out of the darkness, lit by torchlight, welcoming visitors to Pirate Bash. Inside the event, this Pirate Bash will feature the Parrots Perch tavern, as they all have, but this time, the Perch will be a period correct structure, and drinks will be served out of oak kegs and glass onion bottles, and illuminated by lanterns straight out of the late 17th century. The Galley will be there as well, with chickens roasting over hot coals, stew cooking in big metal pots, fresh tropical fruit of all kinds filling basket after basket, all accompanying a whole host of other period dishes, spread across hand made driftwood tables. There will of course be other shops than just the ones that the Crew of the Scavenger run, and vendors will be selling their wares underneath the shade of the australian pines, their shops lit by torchlight, as the gulf of mexico laps the sandy beach a hundred feet distant. Brigands, ruffians, scalawags, and scoundrels from around the state, and, perhaps the country, will be able to satiate their hunger and their thirst, in an atmosphere as close to that of the 18th century as is humanly possible. Offshore, the water is deep enough to accomodate all manner of large sailing vessels, and we are doing our best to entice a few to the area as we speak. Pirate Bash isnt just for pirates though. Its by pirates, sure, but its for pirates and landlubbers alike. We, the crew, host and run the party, from serving the food, making the drinks, to the free give away of a real flintlock! Though we will be paying for as much as possible ourselves, we cannot do it alone! We need your help ! It is up to you, pirates of the world, surfers of the web, and festival goers of all ages, to help make this pirates paradise a reality! WIth our vision, and your generosity, and a bit of luck, once a year, myself, and the rest of the Crew of the Scavenger, will be able to welcome you all to our island stronghold, a place, the likes of which, hasnt existed in three hundred years. We will welcome you to Pirate Bash.
