Does anyone remember Carrie? This cute little girl spent time with SOS before being adopted into a wonderful family early this year; thanks Tori :) Carrie has been in touch and would like everyone to know how well shes going. Dear Everyone I just thought I would say hello as it has been 6 months since I left your care and things couldnt be better. I was taken by my new friends, Tori and Ian to their house in Cremorne and I now live with an old girl called Hali (she is 12 years old but you wouldnt know it) and she is great fun to play with and to snuggle up with when Tori and Ian are out. My day starts with breakfast in bed. (Ian is very good bringing breakfast for all of us, including their cat, but more of that later) and then a walk for both Hal and I (sometimes with Ian) to one of the local coffee shops and I have made a lot of friends amongst all the local dogs who go there. We have 2 or 3 walks during the day which is really cool as we live near Primrose Park and there are a lot of paths down to there which we go. Tori is very good letting me off the lead a lot and so I stay close by so I dont loose track of her. I have even learnt to sit, stop and cross when she tells me. Hali has helped me learn. We often go to our holiday house at Lake Macquarie too and i LOVE going out on the boat and going for long walks along the water front. Tori bought me a lifejacket just like Halis and I feel a bit silly when they pick me up like I am a handbag to lift me in and out of the boat! I love the car and going to the beach and having company all of the time. In fact when Tori and Ian go away they have a lady, Catriona, who brings her dog Lucy and she stays in the house and so then there are three of us. It is really good. My favourite time is in the morning though. When it gets really cold I am allowed to snuggle up right next to Tori, ion bed...it is so warm. Ian and Tori were interested in my story before I stayed with you and could not find any information so they decided to have me tested to see who my parents were (I couldnt tell them!) I am half poodle!..that explains why I am so brainy! Anyway, they have a burmese/Abyssinian cat here, Tigger. He is a bit of a worry but Hali and I have him under control and largely ignore him. He is nearly 16 so he spends a lot of time in the sun. I also have a cousin who loves me so much and rounds me up as well (I think she thinks I am a sheep) as she is part Kelpie. Her name is Jindabyne and she belongs to Emma, Toris daughter. Well, Thats all for now. I just thought I would let you know how happy I am and that things have worked out well. Thank you so much, Lots of love and keep up the good work, Carrie
