Doing a Discussion forum for my communications class.. Thought I would share :) As stated in our book, communication is irreversible, but it can have a positive or negative affect. I have noticed that many times we focus on the negative aspects of irreversible communication. My personal example however, is positive. Recently, I took an important step into my future as a person. On August 17th, I married Tyler White, a private first class in the Marine Corps. On that day, both he and I provided a very important example of irreversible communication. On that day, Tyler and I said the words "I do." These words sent a message of forever faithfulness and support to my partner. After saying these words, one cannot simply take them back. Yes, divorce supposedly eradicates those words of love, for better for worse, but no matter how many papers you fill out or how many pictures you delete, you simply cannot take back the fact that you promised forever to that person. For me, the message my husband communicated to me was one that will ring in my ears for the rest of my life. The words "I do" will never be erased from my memory and have left an amazing impact on my past, present and future. Thank you for reading :) -Jasmine White (Henderson)
