Donations needed! Swoop came in as a stray and we suspected he was hit by a car. We believed his leg to be broken, but X-rays showed it was intact. However while under sedation, we found he had a knee injury (cranial cruciate ligament or CCL- called ACL in humans). Swoop would not put any weight on his leg - Our Veterinarian did a surgery to repair his knee in house, fixed his cherry eye, and neutered him. 2 days after his surgery he started to use his leg!! Swoop is slowly being leashed walked 3-4 times daily by staff/ volunteers and regaining strength. Ideally therapy for this injury is swimming, and If we collect enough donations we have a volunteer committed to taking him for underwater treadmill therapy three times a week.
