Dont forget to play treasure hunt with your kids this weekend... it teaches kids to explore, to solve problems, to understand instructions and lots more...some ideas for you are 1-Book Hunting: Hide some books( depending upon your child age for example for a 6 year old 6 books ), now ask your child to find them, once the book is found, say discovered now sit and read this book together... Tip:Hide books that have short stories, to keep the game span fast. 2-Number Hunting: give each of your child a shopping bag, paper bag or basket ask them to explore for numbers....(written on books, products or you can write numbers on sheet and hide them) 3-Duaa Hunt: This spring break , try to teach your kids Masnoon Duaa by writing labels like duaa before eating anything , duaa for riding car, etc...hide them .ask your child to look for them, once they find the label and tell duaa correctly...give points or stars.. 4-Color Hunt Give a selected color instruction to your child...like bring 5 red things.... 5-Food Hunt: For your picky choosy eater , this is a must ...hide dry fruits, figs, dates, sliced fruits in plastic wraps, cheese cube, mini yogurt bowl, cornflakes, home made energy bars...let the child explore and find all the things...Inshaallah he/she will eat many of these during the play :) 6-House Cleaning Hunt: Now your house is all up side down, toys are every where...why dont play Improper Place object finding hunt...or wrapper/ paper garbage hunt....oh it will be real success inshaallah...just give points for every thing hunted and restored back to its original place ;) 7- Coin Hunt Hide coins and draw map to find them...you can also hide stones, buttons....or a collection of them...each having different value... 8-Word hunt: Write words appropriate to your child age, hide them and ask to find each word, and pronounce.... 9-Arabic Alphabet Hunt Your child having problem in NOORANI QAEDAA or basic Arabic letters to read Quran...write 5 /6 letters boldly , hide and let your child find and read...in no time the letters will be memorized inshaallah
