Dont know why this isnt second nature for some, but ... if you contend to be a believer in Christ, then Matthew 18:15 applies to you. If you dont take a matter privately to your brother or sister FIRST, then youre not following the Biblical example of how to handle a controversy. If you publicize an offense (real or imagined) without discussing it with the brother or sister, you hamstring proper resolution and incite drama and strife ... and for what? So you can get it out in the open? Why not have the maturity to take it to them first. No, none of us is righteous .... again, no, not one; however, once you cast out defamatory and incendiary comments in a public forum, you can never rescind those. Careful ;-)
