Dont play into the hands of these bastards, people. This is nothing but an internal conflict between rival factions in Beijing who would be glad to see bloody repression in Hong Kong. The only revolutionary thing to do now is conscientious objection - complete non-participation. This video seems to confirm a rumour that Xi Jinping heavily criticised CY Leung and Zhang Xiaoming for requesting a crackdown. Xi reported said that Hong Kongs matters should be settled amongst Hongkongers through negotiation. This is not evidence of political benevolence on the part of anyone. This is just a grim reminder that participants on groundlevel, courageous as they are and deserving of respect, have been hopelessly stuck in a Valley of Cluelessness with regard to higher level considerations.
