Dr. Ryah Stone (Sandra Bullock), a brilliant medical engineer aboard his first space mission with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney) in command of his last flight before retiring. For a routine spacewalk a terrible accident occurs, destroying completely pro ferry they were traveling. Stone and Kowalsky are the only survivors, and they are completely alone and bound to each other in a spiral into darkness.
