Family Members will be able to type questions into the discussion, but will not have speaking capability. You can only access this meeting from an Internet connected computer or wireless laptop (smart phones & tablets are not compatible). We recommend that you print out these log-in instructions and have them next to you while logging in so that you can refer back to them easily. This chat session will be held at the following URL: https://connect.dco.dod.mil/r1qrb32734d/ You will need to download and install a Department of Defense (DoD) certificate in order to log-in. You can access, find and download these certificates at the following web address: militarycac/dodcerts.htm. Theres a video help file for downloading the certificates: militarycac/videos.htm#DoD Once you’ve accessed the Military CAC site, scroll down a little, and you can’t miss the big blue download link titled “InstallRoot_v3.16a from MilitaryCAC”. Heres the link to the instructions you need to follow: militarycac/macnotes.htm Please note the Army does not allow us to have MAC computers, and we cannot troubleshoot what we do not have…sorry :(. On a good note though, Family members and friends can assist each other by working as a team by continuing to post best practices, methods and questions on our Facebook site in order to help each other get into the site and to download the necessary certificates :) ...and we will do what we can from the side lines. Wish we could do more. We ask that you please be patient and polite while we work to adapt and overcome any technical issues that might arise. We’re asking that you log-in between 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm Central Standard Time with the on-line chat going live at 6:00 pm CST. During this time we will have a scrolling picture loop available for your viewing pleasure. We are looking forward to assisting you and meeting you both on-line and at your Soldier’s graduation. We’re predicting a very large turnout which may cause internet connectivity issues, so again, please be patient, polite, and courteous throughout the entire meeting. Thank you for coming and enjoy the meeting. Your Soldiers are NOT attending this meeting, nor will they see it. Its main purpose is to allow command to better inform you of upcoming key events and to answer any questions you may have regarding them. Once you insert the naming scheme stated above and click the “Enter Room” button you will have to wait for the online administrator to accept you into the room. .
