Drama with a funny ending - The lovely Rita, mums italian neighbour, had arranged with mum to pop in this morning at 8am to do some hoovering and she had some roses for her. Come 8am Rita couldnt get any answer, she phoned, rang the doorbell and shouted through the letterbox for 30 minutes with no response. Then she called me, said shed give it another half hour. So i was all ready to jump on my bike and ride into chelsea when Rita called back. Mum was ok, shed taken some pain killers during the night, plus shes going a bit mutton so had slept through Ritas attempts to rouse her. Rita burst into tears when mum opened the door, and said i thought youd died, mum looked at Rita, with the roses in her hand, and said you didnt waste any fecking time getting the flowers. Who needs Catherine Tates nan when youve got the real deal :D
