Meals planned for this week. Heres my 7 tips to making meal planning easier: 1. Keep breakfasts simple and similar each week, theyre easier to plan and have ingredients for. 2. Use leftovers as much as possible for lunches so youre not making too much from scratch during busy days and youll be more likely to want to put the energy into experimenting more with dinners. 3. Theme your dinners so you know roughly what youre doing e.g. Meat free Monday, Fish Friday and Roast Sunday. This simplifies it each week. 4. Plan your weeks meals the night before youre doing your grocery shop so you can write down what you need at the same time and have the ingredients fresh in your mind. This will avoid impulse buying and save you money. 5. Dont plan meals when youre either hungry or tired. Trust me it doesnt work ;) 6. Set aside some time each week (maybe an hour) to make some things from scratch to help you with your snacks etc during the week e.g. dips, sauces, stock and baked goods like slices and breads. This will make the week easier as youll have things prepared in advance. 7. Relax. Dont feel like you need to come up with new and inventive recipes each week. It doesnt matter if you repeat meals. If you find one your family loves do it as much as you like.
