Drove our new wheels to Astoria/Warrenton today to escape the heat at home. Went to the Goodwill at Warrenton and scored a big bag of exotic yarns, including 4 large balls of crochet thread (thicker stuff I can weave with) about 50 skeins of embroidery thread (I stitch all of the layered fabric art pieces with embroidery thread), a couple skeins of Lion Brand homespun in teal color, some eyelash yarn, etc. and an almost finished knitted scarf still on a set of circular needles....its kind of cool the knitting looks like its done in triangular section.....too bad I cant knit and finish it! The yarns will all work nicely in my Saori project that Ive been saving different purple yarns for. Found a few really cool books there, too! Then we finished up with dinner at Doogers in Warrenton and drove home in our wonderful, comfy new (to us) Ford Explorer. It was a nice day out.....tomorrow Mike has his second eye surgery.
