Duane Fronek ...... Idiots. Decreasing the population by 20% doesnt do anything when the population increases 28-31% every spring with pups in the real world. And it really is 20% because they really have no idea how many wolves we have. If anyones paid attention over the years, whatever number they quote as to what the population level is when we couldnt harvest them, like say 700 wolves, they toted that number for a number of years in a row, thats like saying none of the wolves had pups. If you look on the DNR website they have so called data that is very vague and lacking in their so called pup counts done by people mainly against a season on them, the whole thing is a joke. No solid real numbers and whats missing imo is made up to fit their purpose of stock piling animals. See some in our dept have the fairy tale view of nature balancing nature with man a non participant, and its getting worse.
