MEDUPI power station is a national project which will benefit our country as well as other countries. But the truth is the project is geographically based in LEPHALALE and that is why we are saying first preference or opportunities should be given to local people which is people within the magistrate of LEPHALALE. Everything should start at local level before it could be escalated to other levels Districts, Province etc. I do hope that each and everybody has got his or her own way of surviving of which it will be awkward to try to make a decision on behalf of somebodys life. I have heard people saying locals dont have respect for their jobs, they say when it comes pay day, they are uncontrolled and they even absent themselves to work. My question is , do you need them to spend their money in your way? Mind you, we are speaking about the money that they worked hard for to get them. So, I am suggesting that people should back off in things that they are not involved. The pay slip is a confidential paper so it is the owner who decide what to do. Local employees deserves to work in Medupi power station and deserves to earn better like everyone. Local employees are not going to work just like outsiders because they are not stranded. The project is within their municipality so they must enjoy working in their project. There will be no time where we should compet with outsiders. There is no one who should tell us how we should do things except someone within us who has the same feelings with us. Lastly, I am calling the almighty God to guide us and to lead us not into temptations but to deliver us to resolve our local matters in MEDUPI power station with harmony and peace. Can everyone repeat after me by saying Amen!!!
