Dusting and cleaning the stairs: Did you know that cleaning the stairs is just as important as cleaning any other room in your home? As often as you sweep other areas of your home, sweep the stairs and dust the railing. Always sweep from top to bottom. Using a duster, dust from top to bottom, sweeping across the floor, then continue (dusting) to the top and move to the next rail. Do this until you have dusted all of the rails. When you have completed the dusting, check them to see if they need cleaning. If so, it’s simple and easy to do. Using a damp cloth (microfiber) and a mild cleaning solution, wipe each spindle, stair rails and banister. Clean them as often as you need to. Don’t forget to mop when you are finished!
