ENGLISH is really a BERRY PHUNNY Language. _____________________________________________ Younger generation is becoming monolingual due to failing of the Generations that reared them. The main cause of this state of affairs is that for last 30-40 years children in urban areas have been studying in English medium schools, which also charge exorbitant fees. Thus we now have 2 Generations of children, who don’t have any attachment with their Mother Tongue. In Japan, China, Korea, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal etc they don’t have English medium schools, hence their own languages are surviving. We are least bothered about our languages. My mother tongue is Tamil and I find that now a days most of the people from Tamil Nadu prefer to speak in English to ( mixed Tamil and English ) Tamglish. Many have trouble learning their own MOTHER TONGUE because of their PEA sized brains. Hence we can understand the condition of languages in Tamil Nadu. Hardly anyone writes and signs cheques etc in their Mother Tongue. There is NO problem as such in excelling in English since it is a global language. But it is really unfortunate to see the SLAVE mentality among who take pride in speaking in English and refuse to speak in their Mother Tongue. There must be a PRIDE in speaking the mother tongue and I see more benefits & no harm in it. English is the language of a small set of elite in India who unfortunately continue to rule over India. There is no reason for everyone to know English in India except that being a colony our systems were in English and the continuity after 1947 required we continue working as colony of England in courts and in state assemblies. It was just the convenience at that time. It did most harm to India because it made our village and small town people in the second class citizen unfit for high paying Government jobs. Now because of domination of US, and other English speaking country English has become an international language. But most people live locally. If Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Germans can live and prosper without English so can Indians. The real solution is India is promote local languages for all Government work but also continue to teach English to all or those who want to learn. The Englishmen are RACISTS and so do we who are CASTEIST. British were shrewd people, reason is they with there ability, unity and honesty towards there King and Nation, where able to stabilise there Rule and Trade over many Nations of world, which made there language popular throughout. English became popular and Beneficial because British had ruled a major part of world and many started speaking there language, which in turn become a common language to communicate with many people, which is require for any business or exchange of thoughts. If you see history obviously European countries will not adopt English because British had NO colony there. Indians are either intellectually LAZY or really brain-dead ZOMBIES to make any sort of progress or inventions in their language. Indians think that languages are only meant for writing poetry, filmy Dialogues, boasting monologues and finally some cussWords. You cannot expect Indians to be innovative with their local languages to upgrade it to modern times like the way Israel does with Hebrew or Germans do with German. Lets face it: Indians are dumb and will remain that way. So, it is easier and safer to open-heartedly embrace English and stop wasting time thinking/ innovating. By the way, Indians are no Strangers to CUT, COPY and PASTE. CPM – COPY PASTE MASTER. With English, keep working for Call Centers. Get perfectly tune with Owls. Sad Part we want to involve and play the English mans Cricket though it ruins the populations developmental activities. Reality was India was doing good under Mughals when English landed and we handed our A$$ to them on a platter. If not English, it wouldve been French or Danes or someone else. Most of them in India assume that a person highly fluent in English is more knowledgeable, better and superior to the rest but it is a DANGER and a very very BAD conclusion. India still has NO National language and even Mahatma Gandhi is NOT the Father of Nation officially.
