EVS vacancy in Estonia - Deadline applications: 5 August Contact person: Kai Raku Coordinating organisation: Estonian Special Youth Work Host: Maria ja Lapsed Orphanage: tudulinnakodu.eu Location: Tudulinna, Estonia Start EVS: 06/09/2013 End EVS: 06/06/2014 In the organisation, the volunteer will learn and experience how children from different background behave and act, support their development in everyday bases. The contact with the orphans or to deal with their problems and develop activities for them is part of the wide range of activities possibilities that the volunteer will pass through. The main task of the volunteer is to support the organisation to take care in the daily basis of the orphans and develop activities to facilitate their integration in the society and to improve their social and artistic skills. Some of the kids in the organisation have disabilities, which the volunteer will be encouraged to develop activities to work with them. Tasks The volunteer is also expect to give some language courses, music or art workshop in the way that the volunteer feel more adapted to do. Once a week volunteer also works in local kindergarden (usually 3-4 hours), where she/he supports teachers in the activities and plays with the children. Having foreign volunteer in kindergarden is good for the children, teachers and parents as it gives possibility to practice other language and learn other culture. Depending of the volunteers interests, it is also possibility that volunteer gives some lessons in kindergarden in the afternoons (dance, handicraft, language etc).
