Earlier this week I caught a BBC radio programme which asked whether there was a black community. Today as I walked around various London streets a thought came to me. It seems like we naturally say hello to most black people we pass. Sometimes this is just a nod of the head, or a curt Irie or even respect. I never see other cultures do that. Not the English, Asians, Eastern Europeans, Russians, etc. I only see Africans and Caribbeans people acknowledge each other like this. This is how I know not only is there a black community but we also have a consuming desire to communicate with one another. Even as total strangers. Anybody else find the same thing?
