Earlier this year Albemarle Therapy Center was able to donate a few pieces of equipment to Deb Morris, a local educator who was traveling to Guatemala to volunteer and provide support to families of children with special needs. The child who received this wheelchair is named Wendy. Wendy has special needs-in addition her sibling has Autism. She, her parents, and five other family members live in one room beside the garage that her father works in. Wendy is just one of many children who are in need of equipment. There is more equipment waiting in Charlottesville, to be sent to Guatemala and Deb is in the process of raising funds to make that happen. We will post more information as we receive it.
