Eatontown Police arrested Frank Albanese, 53, of Staten Island, New York on several outstanding warrants Sunday. His arrest came as PO Ryan Braswell observed Albanese operating a motorcycle southbound on Wyckoff Road while he was working a Click-It-Or-Ticket detail and had spotted a small child tied to the motorcycle. Well PO Braswell had went to go stop the bike when it had entered the Quick Chek parking lot...Albanese had went inside the store leaving the 5-year-old boy on the back of the bike where he was tied to the rear passenger pegs of the bike with twine. He also had twine wrapped around his waist in order to secure him to the seat. Stay with me here, theres more. Next to the bike in a pickup truck was a woman who identified herself at the childs mother..she told PO Braswell that the man operating the bike, Frank Albanese, was her boyfriend. She told police that she was letting her 5-year-old son ride on the bike all the way to Staten Island and that she was going to follow behind the bike in the pickup truck. OK then Mother of the year.. It took mom roughly 5 minutes to untie her son from the bike and police found that the helmets that Albanese and the child were wearing were not DOT approved. Albanese told Det. Lt. Tyler that he believed using the twine would help keep the young boy safe. Yeah not so much Frank. The investigation by police revealed that Albanese had outstanding warrants and he was taken into police custody along with being issued several motor vehicle violations. The child was turned over to his mother and the state Division of Child Protection & Permanency was notified. Nice work PO Braswell & Eatontown PD
