Edo Police Commissioner wades into brutality allegation against Egba DPO, DCO & IPO The Edo State Police Commissioner, Foluso Adebanjo has set up a panel to investigate allegations of brutality, false accusation, attempted murder and abuse of office levelled against, DSP Izevbokun the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), ASP Owamagbe the Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) and Corporal Adolphus, Investigating Police Officer (IPO) of Egba Police Division in Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State. The investigation is sequel to a petition dated September 22, 2014 by Mr. Matthew Abraham, a Commercial Motorbike rider who was beaten to a pulp and abandoned by Corporal Adolphus in the bush thinking that he was dead. The brutalisation, according to ionigeria investigation is simply because of mere and erroneous suspicion by Corporal Adolphus that Mr. Matthew was having an affair with his girlfriend. In a telephone interview with ionigeria, Commissioner Adebanjo confirmed receipt of the petition and that he was awaiting the outcome of the investigation.
