Education and Training Task Group Meeting Minutes Meeting Date:8/06/2014 Meeting Location: Logan’s Meeting Time: 11:30 PM Members Present: Nancy Richardson, Phil Ray, Chad Funk, Virginia Johnson, Angelina Martinez, Wolfgang Sieman, Rene Hastings Members Absent: Tony Berryman, Terri Ann Tindell, Subject Discussed: Employee Involvement The group welcomed a new member Rene Hastings from warping. We are still looking for new members from the Warehouse and Inspection. We will ask Terri Ann to post this on the Marlin for us. Chad has created a facebook page for the task group. It is called Glen Raven ETT. This way members of the group can send and receive messages. We can post minutes from the meetings and have discussions. This will also help with commonication. Chad has also posted the next meeting on the page for the group. The group discussed the questions of employee engagement. 1. Do you know what is expected of you at work? 2. Do you have the materials and equipment needed to do your work? 3. Do oyu have the opportinuty to do what you do best every day? 4. In the last seven days, have you received recognition or praise for doing good work? 5. Does your supervisor or someone at work, seem to care about as a person? 6. Is there someone at work who encourages your development? 7. Do your opinions seem to count? 8. Does the mission of your company make your job seem important? 9. Are your fellow employees committed to doing quality work? 10. Do you have a a best friend at work? 11. In the past 6 months, has someone at work talked to you about your progress? 12. In the last year, have you had opportunities to learn and grow? The group will look at assigning new tasks to team members. The next meeting will be Thursday, September 4, at 1:30 pm in Wolfgang’s office.
