The Post Gathering Tour took us to the Riverland area. Berri, Renmark, Loxton. On arriving in Berri we had a fun cruise on the Murray for a couple of hours. One of our members, Denise Onslow from Port Macquarie, surprised everyone when she came forward to show her prowess on the Piano Accordion. We were blown away. We also visited Renmark where we had the opportunity to check out a Paddle Steamer and punish Jerry and Elma!. Not really but too tempting to walk by! We had a brilliant night of singing with our Sing Australia group in Berri and stayed overnight in Loxton. Our group that meets in Berri is called SA Riverland as members come from various close by towns. We were very warmly welcomed by the Leaders, Graeme Rule and Jacque Zagotsis. The other Leader who is also the amazing Accompanist and Conductor for the group, Mary Geddie, was actually in Alice Springs that night and was playing for our Alice Springs group. We used the CD backing in her absence. We were very impressed with the group. It is a great credit to the Leaders and members. Colin.
