Ellis Announcements for Oct 30, 2013 No School this Friday, November 1st. Fall parties & parade are this Thursday. Please bring Halloween costumes to school in a bag and put them on at 1:45pm. The costume parade will begin at 2:00 pm and families are welcome to attend. Weather permitting, students will walk east on West Frost Street, north on South Birch, and west on Riley Street before entering through the back gates to the upper playground. Upon arrival, the class with the highest percentage of parents who are PTA members will have the opportunity to “Silly String” Mr. Knapp. Immediately following are classroom parties which will conclude at 3:10pm so the kids can prepare to go home. Costumes MUST be appropriate and kid friendly which means nothing scary, no blood, no skulls or cross bones, or anything else of that nature which may be detrimental to our students at Ellis Elementary. The point of the costumes and parade is to have fun and NOT to have the scariest costume at school. If in question, call Mr. Knapp or choose a different costume for your child to bring to school. If costume is not appropriate, student will not be allowed to wear it. The elementary and high school art students are gearing up for another show. This time they are teaming up with the local Plattsburg Artists Coalition and schools around the area. The work can be viewed at the Community Courtyard Nov 1st from 6-9pm and Nov 2 from 10am-6pm.
