Elma Pepper “Ma Nick” Nickelson, 97, of Monroe, Louisiana passed away on January 16, 2014 at Andersons Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi. Mrs. Nickelson lived in Quitman, Mississippi for many years. She was born on January 28, 1916 to Z. Z. and Sarah Rosanne (Smith) Pepper in Sikes, LA. Elma is survived by her son, John A. Nickelson Jr. of Monroe, Louisiana; daughter, Sarah Woods of Meridian, Mississippi; grandchildren, Lance (Laura) Nickelson and Vance (Jennifer) Nickelson; great-grandchildren, Thomas Nickelson, Kathryne Nickelson, Addie Nickelson, and Cade Nickelson all of Monroe, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Nickelson Sr. and her parents Z. Z. and Sarah Rosanne Pepper. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014 10:00 - 11:00 am at Wrights Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014, 11:00 am at the Wrights Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Coats officiating.
