Embassy of the Czech Republic in Nairobi closed down since 31 January 2011 22.07.2013 / 10:30 According to the Czech Government Decree No. 618 dated August 28, 2010, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Nairobi was closed down on January 31, 2011. As from February 1, 2011 the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Addis Ababa takes charge of Burundi, Comoros, Kenya, Rwanda, Seychelles, Somalia, Uganda and Tanzania, while the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo takes charge of Eritrea. As from February 1, 2011, Office of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Addis Ababa is established in Nairobi. The Office covers some bilateral issues vis-a-vis Kenya and multilateral organizations based in Nairobi, as well as legalization agenda and consular assistance to the Czech citizens in Kenya. As for the visa section for the citizens of Kenya and all the above mentioned countries (except for Eritrea), it was transferred to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Addis Ababa on the date of December 1, 2010. All the visa applications have to be submitted personally to the Embassy in Addis Ababa. Its visa section is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 to 12 a.m. The visa section for the citizens of Eritrea was transferred to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo. Od 01.02.2011 Velvyslanectví České republiky v Addis Abebě se stará o Burundi, Komory, Keňa, Rwanda, Seychely, Somálsko, Uganda a Tanzanie, zatímco Velvyslanectví České republiky v Káhiře se stará o Eritreje. Jak od 1. února 2011, se Úřad Velvyslanectví České republiky v Addis Abebě založena v Nairobi. Úřad se vztahuje na některé bilaterální otázky vis-a-vis Keni a multilaterálních organizací se sídlem v Nairobi, stejně jako legalizaci agendou a konzulární pomoc českým občanům v Keni. Pokud jde o vízové oddělení pro občany Keni a všech výše uvedených zemí (s výjimkou Eritrea), byla převedena na Velvyslanectví České republiky v Addis Abebě ke dni 01.12.2010. Všechny žádosti o víza musí být podány osobně na velvyslanectví v Addis Abebě.
