Eminent Pakistani writer, commentator & dissenter Hassan Nisar has recently urged the people of Pakistan to do the following - The next time they enter any mosque, they should ask the Mullahs present there to openly admit that all Talibanis & other Jihadists are Savage Terrorists and if any Mullah refuses to do so, the people should then beat up that Mullah without any remorse. I want all us Indians (Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists & Catholics) to do the same with the Holy Men present in their Mandirs, Masjids, Gurdwaras & Monestaries (tell Hindu holy men to condemn Casteism & the Sangha Parivar, Muslim holy men to condemn Jihadists, Sikh holy men to condemn Khalistanis, Buddhist holy men to condemn their brethren in Burma, Sri Lanka and 1940s Japan) and Catholic holy men to condemn all the IRA, the Chruchs endorsement of Nazis and other Fascists in 20th century Europe & Latin America, Inquisitions and persecution of Scientific Thinkers especially Galileo. And if any holy man refuses to do so, we should at least spit on their faces or show them both of our middle-fingers. I have been following Hassan Nisar saheb for long. He by all means is the wisest & most valiant Pakistani Ive ever come across. For a peacefeul South Asia and a stable Pakistan, I urge all Pakistanis to make him their Prime Minister ASAP (no kidding) Sadly, theres no resident Indian popular intellectual who can match Hassan Nisar saheb when it comes to boldly calling spade a spade. Khushwant Singh is dead :(
