End of day Report. loll Vent is scraped, not as good as I would - TopicsExpress

End of day Report. loll Vent is scraped, not as good as I would like, but it is ok. Will paint it 2 coats tomorrow. My mess is cleaned up, cleaned myself up with a soaking bath and hot shower. Ate my supper and watched Belmont Stakes. California Chrome did not Win. So no Triple Crown winner again this year. Progress Update after 3 hours.. I finally have the project well underway. I applied the Stripper, paint that is. loll, then got impatient after waiting 30 minutes or so and started scrapping. Then I thought, why are you working so hard? Let the stripper do its thing and it will do most of the hard work. So I applied 2 more coats of Stripper, tied the vent up in plastic and am going to TRY to let it set for at least 2 hours. Then what paint is left should come off easily. Best part of the whole thing is I feel much better about me. You talk about Lazy. Last Wednesday I made it to Home Depot and found all the materials I needed to strip All of the old paint from an old gas wall furnace vent cover that I still use in my apartment. That day the enthusiasm was over flowing, having found everything I needed, even the Heat resistant paint in the exact color I wanted. I could hardly wait till Saturday to start and complete my new project. As you can see, I am not outside stripping the paint. I am sitting here typing on FB. Telling myself there is no hurry to get that old vent cover all new and shiny, wont really be needing to use it until next cold spell. Which will be in about 7 months. Yep, it can wait. My get up and go, got up and went. Time for another cup of coffee.
