Engine 214 Ladder 111 responded to the World Trade Centre in New York on the morning of the 11th September 2001 where a airliner had crashed into one of the towers. On those firetrucks were Lt. Chris Sullivan, Firefighters; Michael Roberts, Karl Bedigan, John Florio and Kenneth Watson. The world knows today that on that fateful morning 343 of New Yorks finest Officers and Firefighters were lost. In October four of the guys were found close together in the remains of the two towers. No trace was ever found of Lt. Chris Sullivan. In Finding Home I wished to convey to my friends here on facebook that even though he was not found way back then that he had found his way to the Garden of Remembrance in Kinsale where his crew are remembered with a tree in their name.
