England’s Orchard and Nursery a brief Story in a nut shell We are Kum Hui and Clifford England a lone Orchard and Nursery In Eastern Kentucky that believes in Natural and Holistic approach to Living, Growing and Gardening and Having fun at it often ask why we do it and put in so many hours and with so little return the answer is we love to see Plants grow and when Plants are happy we are Happy / We provide for them and they in return provide for us. It is a taken from the 10 year period when I was but a teenager enjoying life as a youngster with my Grandfather Blevins England on his 65 acre tree farming hobby learning how to Graft, grow and to plant and harvest but little did I know that would lead me on a worldwide adventure (While in the Military) discovering lost and or forgotten and exotic fruit of other lands. I like to see People happy and when they find that newly found fruit that just shocks them in a good way and it is the turning point for them in the more unusual fruit it really calm my soul. We also we specialize in the more off the beaten path of Edibles and nut trees. We are on a long road to develop and Community Orchard and Agroforestry farm that encompasses everything from Growing mushrooms to the more common fruit like Medlar, Quince, Saskatoon, Sea buckthorn, Jujube, all 11 species of Chestnut , with about 8 different species of Walnut from around the world oh Asian pears , and a slew of many complex hybrids and all Fruit and Nut producing trees and bushes chosen from around the world to have a 4 fold purpose 1. Fruit producing 2. Clone able identified plant material 3. To provide a source for plant material to the generations far beyond my life span. 4. Agritourism and agroforestry We pride ourselves in saying that we are Specialist in Alternative crops but since Colorado has legalized the most taxable wanted crop in the USA we cannot truly any longer say that LOL. We love showing folks around and getting to know people, customers and acquaints and if you are in the neighborhood please stop in I’m sure I can find time and something to interest you and I am eager to learn from Passerby’s also some of our most important contributions have been made from our present and Past employee’s or should I say our Family of assisted Growers.
