Ephesians 4:31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. .......A man was bitten by a rattlesnake, and asked the doctor if it was life threatening. The doctor said, The bite isnt but the poison is. The bites you receive at the hands of others are painful, but not lethal. Like venom, bitterness can poison your mind and your relationships. It causes you to replay the hurt until it controls you. What causes bitterness? Anger thats allowed to take residence in your thought-life. Gods purpose for anger is to motivate you to tap into His power for solving problems; otherwise they become permanent. Can you stop your anger? Yes,with Gods help you can control your reactions and behaviors, and starve your anger to death. The fruit of the Spirit is...self-control. If you are not tapping into God for His power, then you will realize you cant do it on your own. Our God is a Mighty God. NOTHING is too difficult for Him. Your weaknesses are designed to open you up to His power. Relax in Gods presence, trusting in His strength. Faith means that you have peace even when you dont have all the answers.
