ref 165 AssalaamuAlaikumWarahmatullah, Please post this ANONYMOUSLY, JazaakAllahuKhairan. As an Indian-Muslim-Hanafi-Tableeghi MALE in my MID-TWENTIES, I would like to, if possible, find comfort and solace in a spouse. By the blessings of The Almighty, I have managed to ensure my financial stability and whilst I may not be in the millionaire bracket, I do have a small, modest home as well as a means of transport. Im from JOHANNESBURG though I do travel quite often locally and abroad due to work. Thats the basics, of course. I will be leaving the woman that marries me quite often due to certain requirements. There are times that I will not provide her with lunch and there are even times at which I will request a percentage of her wealth. Im not claiming to be the best of men but my worst deeds as stated above prove that every relationship needs communication. I will therefore leave my spouse to go to the masjid due to the requirements of salaah. I will urge her to fast with me if she is capable of doing so thus depriving her of lunch. Once a year, I will request 2.5% of her wealth to ensure that she discharges her zakaat. She may be of any race, any ghaam, any tongue as that is not a pre-requisite of marriage. I would like her to be beautiful as I will be waking next to her for the rest of my life- and I would hope that she finds attractiveness in me. Her dressing is of no concern as it will be futile to adorn the garb of decency and be anything but that- and vice versa. A person may seem indecent by their dressing but their limitations are clearly drawn. I will provide food, shelter and clothing for the woman that marries me as that is a command unto me from my Creator. She needs to know that I do come with a range of flaws. I do not expect her to be perfect as I am not. I care not for her previous life for had she been widowed or divorced- but what I do care about is a spunky personality and a daring nature. Intelligence will be a plus factor to this as well. My wish is to be married prior to the end of this year and with Ramadan fast approaching, I would like to take the time in getting to know my spouse. It will be in her interest to get to know me as well for far too many marriages end in divorce due to avoidable misunderstandings. Kindly, like or comment below and I will get back to you. To the handful that treat these pages as their personal chat-ground, please refrain from doing so as this makes it difficult to gauge the interest of a potential spouse. Should this message offend anyone at all, I humbly apologise. To those that wish to advise me Islamically and/or otherwise with regards to this post, all guidance will be appreciated.
