Especially for those who do not appreciate the semitic languages (Hebrew, Aramaic and Arabic), one would consider that Allah is a pagan God exclusive for Muslims. But in actual fact, Allah means the God in arabic. His name reflects His attributes. This means that He only has godly attributes not human-like. He has other names such as Ar-Rahman and Ar-Rahim which means the Most Gracious to His creations and the Most Merciful to His believing creations. Again, these names reflect His attributes. Whilst Arab Christians and those of understanding do not deny that Allah is God, there are some ignorant who say that Allah is a moon god of the Muslims. And some say that Allah is satan. In fact this had happened before to the Prophet Muhammad when the wife of Abu Lahab who was an Arab disbeliever said , O Muhammad! I think that your Satan has forsaken you, for I have not seen him with you for two or three nights! On that Allah revealed: By the fore-noon, and by the night when it darkens, your Lord (O Muhammad) has neither forsaken you, nor hated you. (Q93.1-3) Even during the time of Prophet Muhammad, the arabs know that Allah is God. They worshipped Allah along with other gods and ascribe to Him daughters which the disbelievers blindly made the claim that Allah is also a pagan god. However, this is the claim that the Arab pagans made. But the Prophet Muhammad was chosen to be a messenger of Allah and to call to his people to worship the one true God alone and He does not beget a son or daughter. Although the arabs know that Allah is God, the wife of Abu Lahab still made a mockery of Allah as satan due to her disbelief. Hence do not be surprised that the disbelievers today will also make such a mockery. Allah being a moon god is a blatant lie. In fact the name Allah is more befitting that Yahweh which later becomes Jehovah. The Jews differed themselves what does this mean and which is the name of God whether it is Eloh or Yahweh. Some say yahweh means To be. Some say it means Oh He. In arabic, Ya Huwa. In any case, those names do not befit Him. Whats more to believe that God came down to earth as human and then he eats bread and drink wine and then go to the toilet to relieve Himself. And then He later dies for a few days. And resurrected after that. Subhanallah!
