Ethics CLE April 16, noon - 1 p.m. Conflict of Interest - Representing medical entities, staff, etc. Attorney Andrew Demetriou, Credo Law Firm, Los Angeles, CA and head of the Health Care Law Division of the ABA will cover conflict of interest and withdrawal issues based on two hypothetical problems; the first, concerning the lawyer who acts as the lawyer for the deal, representing both sides of a transaction; and, the second, involving the lawyer representing a hospital in a joint venture with its medical staff and the attendant issues of whether he or she is representing the joint venture as well and may have duties to the physician partners.
