Even a broken clock is right twice a day: Deuteronomy 23 19 Thou shalt not lend upon interest to thy brother; interest of money, interest of victuals, interest of anything that is lent upon interest: 20 unto a foreigner thou mayest lend upon interest; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon interest, that YHWH thy God may bless thee in all that thou puttest thy hand unto, in the land whither thou goest in to possess it. Nehemiah 5 7 Then I consulted with myself, and contended with the nobles and the rulers, and said unto them, Ye exact interest, every one of his brother. And I held a great assembly against them. 10 And I likewise, my brethren and my servants, do lend them money and grain. I pray you, let us leave off this interest. 11 Restore, I pray you, to them, even this day, their fields, their vineyards, their oliveyards, and their houses, also the hundredth part of the money, and of the grain, the new wine, and the oil, that ye exact of them. Matthew 5 17 Think not that I came to destroy the law or the prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfill. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass away from the law, till all things be accomplished. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven.
