Even more rewarding than being involved in the music business is my involvement in a childrens workshop called Engaging Minds whose aim is to encourage, inspire and empower children to understand more about and look after their mental, emotional and physical health and well being. We have been to many schools in Bristol so far but yesterday we went my sons school which was great fun, he was very proud indeed! Some of the kids we have seen in previous schools have sweets and fizzy drinks for breakfast, dont sleep at night due to arguing, the heads have even had beds in the office in case they need rest, this makes it really hard for them to learn and empower themselves. Kids need as much guidance as possible regarding mindfulness, nutrition, emotional well being and more so it is so rewarding to work with the Engaging Minds team to deliver this in schools around Bristol. Its so rewarding working with kids, especially helping them learn about things they do not learn at school and sometimes even at home, they need all the tools they can get now a days and I am proud to be a part of such a positive project to help the next generation! :)
